After a remarkable first victory in his very first single-handed IMOCA race, the Retour à la Base in 2023, he repeated his performance by winning the Transat CIC last night at 20:23 (French time) after 8 days, 6 hours and 53 minutes of racing.
With this second victory in the IMOCA class, Yoann has definitively entered the category of favourites for the 2024 Vendée Globe.
Boris Herrmann didn't give up until the very end. After a magnificent duel with the race winner, the German skipper took 2nd place.
Rounding off the podium was Sam Davies. The British sailor delivered a near-perfect performance and, as usual, delighted the public with her videos.
