Yes, you need a ticket to enter the Vendée Globe Village. Registration is fast and free.


No, you can present your QRcode directly from your smartphone. For a smoother welcome, remember to increase the brightness of your screen when you arrive at access control. 


There is no ticket office on site. We invite you to book your tickets online to anticipate your visit and receive all the practical information you need. You can also visit the tourist offices in Les Sables d'Olonne to help you book your tickets. 


As the bar is inside the Village, a ticket is required to access the bar during the day. The public bar is open throughout the Village: 

  • from 10am to 1am Sunday to Thursday 
  • from 10am to 2am Fridays and Saturdays 

Please not that from 8pm, access to the Bar is free, without reservation, until 1am. 


You can cancel your booking from the confirmation email you received or by clicking on this link. You can then purchase a new ticket on this page for the date of your choice.

The Vendée Globe Village is located at Port Olona in Les Sables d'Olonne.

Yes, 650 bicycle parking spaces will be deployed in the immediate vicinity of the village entrances. 


Various motorhome parking areas are available. To reserve a camper site, visit the Les Sables d'Olonne website. 


The Village is open every day from Saturday October 19 to Sunday November 10, from 10am to 8pm. Access to the pontoon is no longer guaranteed after 7pm. The pontoon is closed to the public on Saturday, November 9 and Sunday, November 10. 

The bar stays open until 1am all week (2am on Friday and Saturday). 


There are 3 entrances to the Village: 

  • Cape Horn entrance / exit: at the Charcot traffic circle
  • Cape Leeuwin entrance / exit: Quai de l'Amiral de la Gravière
  • Cape of Good Hope entrance / exit: Boulevard Vertime

You can purchase a PMR/PSH ticket at the time of booking, which will allow you to enter the Village more quickly thanks to priority access. PMR spaces are reserved in the parking lots. The requirements of the application order of April 20, 2017 relating to accessibility for people with disabilities will be complied with. Access to the Vendée Globe pontoon for people with disabilities will be assisted by the SSIAP.


Yes, if you are accompanying a person with reduced mobility, you can also purchase a PRM ticket.

Yes, entertainment is planned throughout the Village. Find out more here. 


The pontoon is accessible and allows you to see the monohulls up close, but it is not possible to climb on it. The pontoon will be closed to the public on Saturday November 9 and Sunday November 10, 2024.
Three monohulls are available for immersive visits: 

  • The T-One-One, the first boat to win the Vendée Globe, at the Capitainerie: link to pin map
  • Ocean Calling, Fabrice Amedeo's educational boat, in Allée du frère Maximin
  • Initiatives-Cœur, from October 19 to November 9, between 10:00 am and 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm, on the Place du Tribunal.

Yes, signing sessions are scheduled at Bar VandB Globe from Monday to Saturday: 

  • From 12 to 1pm 
  • From 4pm to 5pm 

Yes, many activities are planned for children. All these activities are listed with a "For children" pictogram in the program.

La "cantine du Vendée Globe", a 600m² two-storey restaurant with a breathtaking view of the pontoon and boats, awaits you in the heart of the Village. It is open throughout the Village from 11:00 to 00:00, Monday to Sunday.
Two other catering areas will also be set up in the Village:
 

  • Near the Cap Horn entrance, featuring the Sodebo Foodmobile
  • On boulevard Vertime

Foodtrucks and Beertrucks will be available in these areas:

The official Vendée Globe Stores feature a wide range of products, including the official Gobi water bottle, Panini albums, the official mascot and all the official store products. A first one at the Cape Horn entrance and the main store in the partners' village in the heart of the Village. 


Yes, you have 14 days to return or exchange items. Internet orders cannot be returned in-store.

The Vendée Globe is a single-handed, non-stop, unassisted round-the-world race. To find out more, click here


The race will start on Sunday, November 10 at 1:02pm. 


The race starts in Les Sables d'Olonne and finishes in the same place. Skippers cross the entire planet, skirting Antarctica.


For this 10th edition, 40 skippers will set off around the world. 


The best time to date for completing the round-the-world race is 74 days 03 hours 35 minutes (Armel Le Cleac'h in 2016). The latest finishers can take more than 4 months. But every edition is different!
