Yes, 300 bicycle parking spaces will be deployed in the immediate vicinity of the village entrances. 


Various motorhome parking areas are available. To reserve a camper site, visit the Les Sables d'Olonne website. 


The Village is open every day from the arrival of the winner on Tuesday, January 14, until the last skipper arrives. All stands and events will be open to the public until February 2, from 11am to 7pm.

The bar will be open until 1 a.m. throughout the week, and until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. 


There are 3 entrances to the Village: 

  • Cape Horn entrance / exit: at the Charcot traffic circle
  • Cape Leeuwin entrance / exit: Quai de l'Amiral de la Gravière
  • Cape of Good Hope entrance / exit: Boulevard Vertime

You can purchase a PMR/PSH ticket at the time of booking, which will allow you to enter the Village more quickly thanks to priority access. PMR spaces are reserved in the parking lots. The requirements of the application order of April 20, 2017 relating to accessibility for people with disabilities will be complied with. Access to the Vendée Globe pontoon for people with disabilities will be assisted by the SSIAP.


Yes, if you are accompanying a person with reduced mobility, you can also purchase a PRM ticket.

Yes, entertainment is planned throughout the Village. Find out more here. 


The pontoon is open to the public except for finishes.

For the first 3 arrivals, the pontoon is closed to the public from 1 hour before the finish line is crossed until the IMOCA boats arrive at the pontoon.

After the first 3 arrivals, the public may access the pontoon depending on the number of arrivals. 


Yes, the finishing skippers will be presented to the public on the stage of the VandB Globe bar at 6.30pm (or the following day in the event of a late arrival).

The Vendée Globe is a single-handed, non-stop, unassisted round-the-world race. To find out more, click here


The race started on Sunday, November 10 at 1:02pm. 


The race starts in Les Sables d'Olonne and finishes in the same place. Skippers cross the entire planet, skirting Antarctica.


For this 10th edition, 40 skippers set off around the world. 


The best time to date for completing the round-the-world race is 74 days 03 hours 35 minutes (Armel Le Cleac'h in 2016). The latest finishers can take more than 4 months. But every edition is different!
