MACSF has already confirmed its intention to continue its commitment to the IMOCA class, with the Vendée Globe 2028 on the horizon. But alongside which sailor? Stay tuned!
Isabelle Joschke announces the end of her professional career as an ocean racing skipper
After a career of over 20 years in ocean racing, including two Vendée Globe races with MACSF as a partner (finishing out of the race in the 2020 edition and 19th in the 2024 edition), Isabelle Joschke announced on Thursday that she is retiring from her career as a professional sailor.
After 21 full campaigns, I feel the need to live in harmony with my rhythm and my physiology. For me, ocean racing is more a way of life than a job. It's also a total commitment that demands a lot of time and energy. I've loved this life, but now I want to discover new horizons. This environment is a cocoon, which is very pleasant, but I also want to see other worlds, I need to open myself up to other things.
