Attanasio had to climb to the top of the mast to try to resolve the problem, but without success. In the meantime, he hoisted his J0 (another headsail ideal for light airs) to continue moving forward. Romain plans to take advantage of a calm zone, which he will reach in about two days, to climb back up the mast and resolve the situation. He remains in close contact with his team on land to monitor developments and find a solution as quickly as possible.
The skipper of Fortinet - Best Western, who is competing in his 3rd Vendée Globe, continues his ascent of the South Atlantic. This Saturday he is 15th in the rankings, racing closely with Damien Seguin (Groupe APICIL, 16th) and Alan Roura (Hublot, 17th).
