FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


Yes, you need a ticket to enter the Vendée Globe Village. Registration is quick and free.


In order to improve traffic flow in the Village and to keep you better informed, we have introduced a system of traffic indicators: 

  • Green: Access to the Village is smooth. Getting around the Village is easy. Access to the pontoon is fast. 
  • Orange: Access to the Village is slower. Movement is less fluid. You may have to wait to access the pontoon.
  • Red: The Village is very busy and movement can be slow and difficult. Access to the pontoon is difficult.
  • Black: Access to the Village is very difficult. There will be a long wait and access to the pontoon is not guaranteed. If you can't stand crowds, the visit is not recommended.

PLEASE NOTE: This scale is given as an indication only and may change according to weather conditions and other factors.


The Village is open every day from Saturday 19 October to Sunday 10 November, from 10am to 8pm. Access to the pontoon is not guaranteed after 7pm.


As the bar is inside the Village, you need a ticket to access the Bar during the day. 
Please note that from 8pm, access to the Bar is free, without reservation, until midnight.
 


There is no on-site ticket office. We invite you to book your tickets online so that you can plan your visit in advance and receive all the practical information you need.
You can also visit the tourist offices in Les Sables d'Olonne to help you book your tickets.

No, you can present your QRcode directly from your smartphone. For a smoother welcome, remember to increase the brightness of your screen when you arrive at the access control.


You can take out a PRM ticket when you make your reservation, which will allow you to enter the Village more quickly thanks to priority access.


Yes, for security reasons, certain items are prohibited or restricted.


Dogs, kept on a leash, are allowed in the Village, but not in enclosed areas or on the pontoon.
Other animals are not permitted.
