APIVIA
Charlie Dalin’s new prototype is closely linked to its skipper. Charlie Dalin was very active in its design and many innovations are the results of collaborative thinking between the skipper and the architect. The deck of the boat is curved to allow a lower center of gravity but also to limit the height of supporting bulkheads, thus reducing the weight. Another innovation deals with the cabin - almost closed-up - which should enable the skipper to navigate well protected from choppy waves. With particularly massive foils, this new-born hopes to optimize its flight sequences while maintaining a relatively powerful and multipurpose hull.
