NEW EUROPE Safely Moored in Las Palmas and still in the race

NEW EUROPE, skippered by Szabolcs WEORES, has safely arrived in Las Palmas and is currently moored outside the local marina. Despite injuring the mainsail and losing the A7, the boat remains in the Vendée Globe race.

Today at approximately 11:00 (French time), Szabolcs reached Las Palmas and secured a mooring buoy. He plans to use this brief pit stop to repair his mainsail and carry out a thorough inspection of the other sails and the rigging.

Szabi is optimistic and happy to have arrived early in the day, giving him many hours of daylight to complete the necessary repairs. He is working diligently to address the issues as quickly as possible, aiming to resume the race promptly, provided no additional major problems are discovered.
