One must have quite a temper to decide to give up a promising career in advertising to engage in the passion of off-shore racing. It’s the path that Miranda Merron chose about fifteen years ago. IMOCA monohull
CAMPAGNE DE FRANCE
Designed for Swiss Dominique Wavre, Campagne de France is a reliable and classic boat which benefitted from Neo-Zealander know-how in terms of construction. In Dominique’s hands, then in American navigator Rich Wilson’s, this monohull had already sailed four round-the-worlds (two Vendée Globes and two Barcelona World Races) before being struck by lightning in 2014. After that, it underwent a major renovation program. Therefore, Miranda Merron will be in possession of a unit in very good state for her first solo round-the-world. We can trust the two partners Halvard and Miranda to prepare it with great care. In any event, the boat knows its way around.
